The opening race weekend of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia 2019 was everything it was pumped up to be! It is by far one of the very best seasons for Asia’s one-make series for one simple reason. As a sum of all its parts, it has never been so awesome and here’s why. The depth of the quality of drivers is at its best! The top 20 at a long Formula 1 circuit was 5 seconds per lap! I think that’s tighter than the top 20 in Formula 1 so that makes for some great racing! If someone i
The start of the 2019 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia season is finally here! I must admit, it has been a long time out of the car, the Singapore GP in September 2018 being the last time I was behind the wheel so it was mega to be back for the pre-season test in Shanghai. It’s been fantastic to be back in the fold in Asia, after a season away from all of my friends and colleagues at the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia. Taking part in his 8th Porsche Carrera Cup season, the thirty-four year old driver has taken something of a veteran role in Team Jebsen for 2016.
“It’s fantastic to be back for the 2016 season and Shanghai was a great place to kick it all off! China has become something of a motorsport centre over the last
What a mega year it’s been on circuit for myself and the Team Jebsen squad that have been firmly behind me all season. Joining the Jebsen team at the start of the year definitely made me think that this could be our year some nine months ago, and here we are at the end of the season to tell the tale! The season finale started in fantastic fashion, going quick in both practice sessions and qualifying pole position in Class B, only my second pole of the season.
