Yuey Tan signs with Team Jebsen for 2015!
Singaporean driver, Yuey Tan has started the year on a high by signing with well established Hong Kong racing team, Team Jebsen.
“It’s great news for me and I am very happy to be part of the team.” said the Singaporean driver. “Development during 2015 while consistently scoring maximum points will be key so let’s see how it goes!”
Yuey Tan will be lining up alongside long time friend and Jebsen regular, Rodolfo Avila as he starts his sixth season with the Hong Kong based racing team. “2015 is going to see Rodolfo and I try and win our respective categories, so this season is really going to be all about targeting the top step of the podium for us. We are going to be trying everything we can for the team so lets see what happens. It seems the timing is right, the team is good, I’m as fit as I’ve ever been, Minal has been a great engineer and the mechanics are on the same page. The team boss Terence is a cool guy as well so should be cool! I want to remain positive and say I don’t see why 2015 cannot be our year.”
For Team Jebsen, 2014 marked their 10th season in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, taking the championship in 2006 and 2008. In the last ten seasons, Team Jebsen has won 18 races, reached the podium 67 times and continues to strive for championship glory. The team is backed by the Jebsen Group, established in 1895 in Hong Kong with the groups business expanding its activities into a comprehensive business network throughout Asia. I’ve known Rodolfo for ages and the team has fantastic chemistry between the people so this really helps. It’s a new team but I know everyone there and I won’t need time to adjust. Should be good! Though Ill be having some tough competition with the ever dependable Francis Tjia, Ringo and Weng as well. It’s going to be enjoyable I think!”
The Dorr Group, Leica Cameras, Exquisite Marques, and the Film Dispensary will also follow on from the 2014 season sponsorship list and be visible on Tan’s all new Jebsen livery. The Team Jebsen car will make its official 2015 debut at the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia official test days on March 6-8th.
