Dorr extends partnership with Tan!

Shanghai based private equity firm, the Dorr Group extended their partnership with Singaporean Yuey Tan beyond the 2012 season, announcing another year with the 30 year old driver.

“Obviously I am absolutely thrilled!” said the happy race driver. “The way in which the deal was put together in 2012 all happened pretty quickly. It’s been one hell of a roller coaster ride with the Dorr Group, and I can only see good things happening in the future in this partnership!”‘

The Dorr Group and AutoInc held their Singapore GP event just after practice on Friday evening, announcing the renewal of the Dorr McElrea partnership. It was announced by Dorr Group CEO, Terence Loh.

“Everything is going well, and the results have been good. So why not?! Let’s do another year!” said Loh.

Yuey Tan and the Dorr only began their partnership in March 2012, some 3 weeks prior to the start of the season through BMW M Power GM in Singapore, Joel Chang. Although the first few races saw a weak start to the season, resulting in three DNF’s, Tan has picked up a category win in Ordos and a 3rd place finish at his home GP in Singapore bringing his total tally up to ten podium finishes in his career, and two for the year so far with two rounds to go. “It’s fantastic for all of us to get the 2013 deal to be done so early. It means we can focus on the last race of the season, and getting a good package together for next season!,” continued Tan.

Watch Yuey Tan at the final round of the PCCA season on Nov 9-11 at the Shanghai International Circuit.
